My Presentation Updated

I am going to talk about the celebrations we have now instead of the history as the history of Christmas will take a lot longer than the amount of time I have. I will also include the decorations and some of the craziest people to do with Christmas.

In my talk that I will tell the class I am going to talk about Christmas as it is coming up and everyone is excited. I will talk about how Christmas came about and how we celebrate it now.

Internet vs World Wide Web

Firstly we need to find out what both of these terms mean. The two terms are often mixed up.

The Internet is a term used for the huge network that includes other networks. It is a networking infrastructure. The Internet connect you to anyone who is connected to this 'network'. As long as the person you are trying to communicate is on the Internet and you are then you can both communicate successfully. Information that is travelled down the Internet is changed into protocols which any computer understands.

Whereas the World Wide Web (Web or www.) is a way of accessing information over the Internet. The Web shares information normally for free. It uses the HTTP protocol to transmit the information, the HTTP protocol is only one of the many languages of the Internet.

Without either of these, we would not have advanced into the era we are currently in. Without the Internet the World Wide Web would not exist and without the Web we would not have easy access to common knowledge.

Never confuse these two terms as they are very different and if you do mix them up you will look like a fool...
